Homework Headquarters – Creating a homework space.
Emily has been applying herself so much this school year and excelling at her home work, being such a great self manager that we teamed up with The Warehouse Stationery to put together some time for creating the perfect Homework Headquarter in her bedroom.
Why in her bedroom? It was the space in our house that is least likely to distract her.
TIPS FOR MAKING A HOMEWORK SPACE PRACTICAL BUT A PLACE SHE ENJOYS BEING
Clear the Clutter.
Make room on the desktop for all of her basics, which should include an adjustable lamp. A neat work area that she likes, will help her to be more efficient.
Choose a Simple Setup.
A desk and chair that are clean in design will grow with your child. Add a throw pillow or a cushion to the chair for extra support, comfort, or height.
Display art and certificates.
Celebrate special papers and artwork (and prevent pileups!) by hanging them from a clothesline. Or storing them on the trolley
The trolley can double as a mobile workspace.
By having extra supplies readily available in the movable trolley. You will hopefully be able to stop wandering hands from rummaging through drawers and searching the house for pencils, pens, tape, and anything else they may need to complete their work. It’s there own mobile homework space.
Let me know what you think of Emilys new Homework space in the comments.
Thank you to The Warehouse Stationery for making this post possible.
