blogging, on my heart

Influence backlash.

August 19, 2018
I just wanted to give my opinion on some of the comments I have seen where people are criticizing people who have followings.

MY TAKE ON ME….

When you have a following like me and share peoples products and businesses it’s not my responsibility to get sales or likes or whatever. If a business or product resonates with me then perhaps someone who see’s me talking about it might choose to make a purchase.

I cannot force anyone to do anything, and I would never want too!
I am also not a walking infomercial but if I like someones products or services, hell yeah I will let you know.

I have a penchant for small businesses, BUT I do still share stuff I love that is affordable, like from the Warehouse and Kmart – cos I so not have a lot of disposable income  and I can’t always get what I want and there is nothing wrong with a affordable version.

BAD REPUTATIONS…
If you don’t dig what someone stands for unfollow them!  Remove your support, don’t comment or like or argue.
Those who tend to ruin reputations  aren’t the status quo, they just seem to make the biggest splash at times.

THE GOODIES…
I’m also friends with quite a few top-tier bloggers who blog as their full time profession. They’re heartfelt and they work incredibly hard at what they do.

In the end… C’est la vie. You do you. YOLO. Whatever quotable you’d like to take away from this, do so. Just remember that the internet is not always what it seems. Social media jealously is real – and often smoke and mirrors. But for every blogger that’s faking their way through life, I can guarantee that there are four who are working their asses off.

You do you boo.

PS – I wrote this on Instagram a while ago..

A reminder – if you feel like you are seeing lots of fake people on Instagram you can totally unfollow them. Put people in your feed that make you feel good and connected.
I follow a lot of different people – including people who aren’t great at taking photos but I love the message they share, there are others that follow a certain “perfect” aesthetic that I could never subscribe to and they are the realest women out here. I also follow people who post a fierce selfie with flawless makeup – but have so much depth to them and share a meaningful message.
Surround yourself with people that you get and that get you.
We are all different and that’s what makes us special so take back the power
