My preferred present
What if you could receive only one Christmas present this year? What would it be?
The answer for me is simple: time.
You see, the people we care about mean much more to us than a new pair of shoes or a shiny new gadget.
I want to spend time with the people I love. Possessions can’t ever make up for lost time.
“Your presence is the best gift you can give me.”
When you’re fully present, your love radiates.
Here are a few ideas of things we can do with our loved ones this Christmas that create that presence –
Hot Choc Date! Add cream or sprinkles to make it feel extra special.
Climb a hill our mountain together, we always pretend that there are dinosaurs in the trees, sounds naff but Jacob thinks its hilarious.
Hide and Seek, always a winner.
Bike ride at sunset.
Fancy dress bbq.
Dance party, crank up the sounds and move.
Bake some cakes and deliver them to loved ones.
What do you think? Is this something you could include for your family too? Something you can do together each month that is dedicated and planned for connection? You could even adjust this for yourself and your partner. I’d love to hear any other ideas or versions of how you might do this in your home or how you are fostering presence with your loved ones
