The best Apple Crumble recipe like Mum used to make
I double the recipe so it lasts longer (oink oink)
I altered the recipe to use tinned fruit as opposed to fresh – apples are super expensive at the moment.
I also love adding a huge tin of Black Doris Plums yummm
What fruit do you like in your crumbles?
1 550g tin of apples or apple pie fillings
1 tin of fruit of your choice (I used peaches this time around)
1/2 cup of plain flour
1/4 cup of rolled oats
1/4 cup of brown sugar
75g of melted butter
Pre-heat oven to 190°C conventional or 170ºC fan-forced.
In a bowl, mix the flour, oats, and Brown Sugar then rub in the butter until the mixture becomes combined and crumbly.
Spread the crumble mixture over the top of the fruit.
Bake for 40-45 minutes until apples are cooked.
