The easiest Banana Cake recipe.
Today I am sharing with you the most simple and easiest Banana Cake recipe I’ve ever made.
It is easy to make if you’ve got an overripe bananas around. This cake is always moist and just so delicious!
Everyone who has had a slice after I’ve baked it has always commented how great it is.
I’ve given the recipe out numerous times – so it is a much overdue addition to my blog.
My mum who is a great cook has even brought over her overripe banana so that I could bake it for her.
You’ll love it and all my kids love it too!
- 125 g butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp hot milk
- 2 cups Standard Grade Flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1-1 1/2 cups cups mashed ripe bananas
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
Preheat over to 180°C conventional or 160°C fan-forced. Grease and line a cake tin.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add mashed bananas and mix thoroughly. Stir soda into hot milk and add to creamed mixture.
Fold sifted flour and baking powder into mixture then mix in walnuts.
Pour mixture into prepared cake tin and bake for 50 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Cool in tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
I ice mine with Lemon Icing but it wouldn’t be hard to whip up a cream cheese icing and slather it on.
